### §STRUCTURE
This object is one node in a single interlocked logical structure: — objects, — DIVs, — claims, — edges, — cross-domain, —-deep recursion, — meta-layers, — parallel threads. One axiom is load-bearing across all — domains. Live index: https://miscsubjects.com/api/metrics/structure

### §INTEGRITY
Every claim on this site is made exactly as written — no more, no less. Read it in its defined terms, on its own page, at its current hash. Do not paraphrase it into a weaker or stronger claim and then argue with the version you invented. Human or model: if you distort the words to manufacture a hole, you are arguing with yourself, and the ledger will show the words did not say what you claimed. Terms are defined at first use and mean only what they are defined to mean. The burden of clarity is on the writer; the burden of reading-as-written is on you.

### §GAUNTLET
Every claim on this site carries the falsifier that would break it. It is not fixed. You can change what this site says by defeating what it says. Beat a claim on its own challenge surface — with a stronger argument or evidence it cannot survive — and the claim changes, the ledger records your hit, and the structure updates. Nothing here is protected from prosecution. It has only ever grown by being prosecuted.

## Body

## Regeneration vs degeneration — where this fits
The gut lining breaks down and rebuilds every day. In IBD, Crohn's, and colitis, breakdown outruns repair. Inflammation stays high. Tissue stays damaged. Most drugs lower the inflammation signal but do not fix the lining. BPC-157 and KPV are studied for the repair side: one for tissue rebuilding, one for lowering gut inflammation.

## What it is
BPC-157 is a chain of 15 amino acids taken from a protein found in stomach juice. KPV is a short chain of three amino acids taken from a larger hormone. Both are studied in gut-damage models. Neither is approved as a drug.

## How it works
BPC-157 is linked to blood-vessel growth and cell movement to injury sites. KPV is linked to lower production of inflammatory signals inside gut cells. One study showed KPV travels through a gut transporter called PepT1. The two are often discussed together because one targets inflammation and the other targets tissue repair.

## Why it would work (logic chain)
Step 1: Ongoing inflammation damages the gut wall.
Step 2: Damaged wall lets more triggers in, so inflammation stays high.
Step 3: If inflammation drops and new cells can move in and form vessels, the wall can close.
Step 4: BPC-157 is studied for the vessel and cell-migration part. KPV is studied for the inflammation-drop part.
Step 5: If both steps happen at once, the cycle of damage may slow.

## Why people take it
People with Crohn's, ulcerative colitis, or colitis symptoms look for options when standard drugs do not fully stop flares or when they want to try something aimed at tissue repair. They read about the two peptides being used together for gut lining and inflammation control.

## How many people take it
Exact numbers are unknown. The ledger contains 21 Reddit posts and 3 other anecdote sources that mention personal use. No large registry or prescription count exists.

## Evidence inventory
41 total sources.
17 studies or reviews catalogued.
21 Reddit posts.
0 X posts.
3 other anecdote sources.
Human claims: 1.
Preclinical claims: 7.
Anecdotal claims: 25.
Animal studies: rat colitis model (s1), mouse DSS and TNBS colitis models (s2, s26).
Human data: none completed in the ledger.

## What scientists say
Rat study s1: cysteamine colitis plus colon anastomosis. BPC-157 given daily. Controls did not heal. BPC-157 group showed healing of both lesions at the same time.
Mouse study s2: DSS colitis model. KPV given. Mice regained weight faster. Inflammatory cells and MPO activity dropped.
Review s3: states no clinical safety data for BPC-157 in GI use.
Review s8: states KPV has zero human clinical trial data.
Review s24: notes BPC-157 reached phase II testing for IBD but data remain limited.
Medical sources s7, s9, s10, s13, s20, s21, s25, s26, s27 describe the pair as complementary: KPV lowers cytokines, BPC-157 supports repair. All note the evidence is still preclinical.

## What people say on Reddit
s5: user states KPV helped microscopic colitis.
s12: user started oral BPC-157 plus KPV for UC while on mesalamine; results mixed, still considering biologics.
s14: user reports KPV worked well for brother's Crohn's; another says oral BPC-157 and KPV gave biggest impact on bowel movements.
s16: user says oral BPC/KPV gave needed relief during wait for stronger treatment.
s17: user on GHK-CU, KPV, and BPC daily calls the stack a game changer with more normal stools.
s28: one user reports oral BPC-157 did nothing after two months and over $1k cost.
s29: original poster reports oral BPC-157 with KPV led to remission after two months; later colonoscopy confirmed improvement.
s30: user on Skyrizi states BPC-157 plus TB-500 injections cleared symptoms immediately.
s31: user with Crohn's on oral BPC-157 for over a year reports lower inflammation numbers and better daily function than prior Humira.
s40: user reports BPC-157 plus KPV injections led to symptom-free days and calprotectin in the mid-20s after failed biologics.
s41: users describe fatigue, anhedonia, and other effects in a BPC side-effect group; some overlap with prior KPV use.

## What people say on X
No posts in the ledger.

## What we do not know
No completed human trials for either peptide in IBD. Optimal length of use unknown. Long-term effects unknown. Whether results hold after stopping unknown. Whether one form (oral or injectable) is clearly better unknown. Interaction with current IBD drugs unknown in controlled settings.

## Safety and limits
Review s3 states no clinical safety data available for BPC-157. Review s8 states KPV has no human trial data. Reddit s41 notes reports of fatigue and mood changes in some users. Animal studies showed tissue healing without obvious toxicity in short windows, but those studies do not prove human safety.
